As with all items of a mechanical nature, it is recommended that air conditioning units are maintained and serviced on a regular basis - generally every 12 months. Not only will this greatly reduce the risk of a breakdown, it will also ensure your air conditioning will work at it's optimum, giving maximum performance and of course efficiency.
